The right support at the right moment changes everything.

I work with a small number of founders and boards at any one time – which means when we work together, you get my full attention, not a junior associate and a framework. Here's how I can help.

Board Chair & Non-Executive Director

The board should be one of your greatest assets. For most founders, it isn't.

Chairing a board well is not about governance for governance's sake. It's about creating the conditions where good decisions get made, difficult conversations happen properly, and the founder is genuinely supported – not managed, not second-guessed, not worn down by process.

I chair boards for scaling businesses where founders want a partner who brings real commercial experience, clear strategic thinking, and the kind of honest challenge that moves things forward rather than grinding them to a halt.

As Board Chair or Non-Executive Director, I work with leadership teams on the decisions that matter: growth strategy, investor relations, funding, leadership development, team dynamics, and – when the time comes – exit preparation and value creation. I do this as someone who has built, raised for, and closed a business myself. Not just observed others doing it.

This is for scaling businesses that are serious about building a board that actually works.

"She brought a level of challenge and rigour that consistently pushed me to think more clearly, sharpen my judgement, and make better decisions."
Alvina Chen, Founder & CEO, Feldspar

Strategic Growth Advisory

A sharp, honest thinking partner. In your corner, every month.

Scaling a business is full of decisions that are hard to think through from inside it. The pressure narrows your view. The people around you are too close, too cautious, or too invested in a particular outcome to tell you what they actually think.

This is ongoing strategic partnership – monthly sessions where we work through what's live, what's stuck, and what needs to be decided. Strategy, team, investors, growth, leadership – whatever matters most right now. Between sessions, I'm available when something urgent comes up.

It's not coaching. It's not consulting. It's more like having a trusted co-thinker who knows your business, has no agenda other than your success, and will say the things other people won't.

For founders who are scaling with intention and want an experienced partner who's genuinely on their side.

"We doubled revenue while I worked with Julia – but the real shift was in how I think about the business."
Ellie Newton, Founder, The Trouble Club

Growth Strategy Sprint

Step back. See the whole picture. Leave with a plan.

Sometimes what you need is a full day to step away from the business and look at it properly. Not a conversation – an immersion.

This is an intensive day-long session for founders at an inflection point: before a raise, during a strategic shift, or when growth has outpaced the original plan and something needs to reset. We work through your growth strategy, sharpen your value proposition, and align your priorities behind what actually matters. You prepare beforehand and receive a follow-up summary with clear recommendations.

For founders at a crossroads who need more than a conversation – and less than an ongoing commitment.

"I left with real clarity on exactly what I needed to do."
Helen Hannan, Founder & CEO, The Listening People

Strategy Reset Session

Stuck on something specific? Let's work through it.

A focused two-hour session for founders who need clear thinking on a particular challenge – fast. You don't need to commit to ongoing support. You just need someone who'll ask the right questions and help you find a way through.

You complete a short prep form beforehand so we use the time well. Then we meet – usually online – and work through it together. You leave with a short written summary: what we covered, what I'd recommend, what your next steps are.

Founders use this for: fundraising decisions, board dynamics that aren't working, strategic choices they're stuck on, leadership pressure points, investor conversations they're preparing for.

One session. Senior-level thinking. Real momentum.

"She helped me see which parts of the story we were telling ourselves – and which would actually land."
Gilly Ridley Whittle, Co-Founder, Peachaus

Workshops & Masterclasses

For founder communities, accelerators, and leadership teams.

I design and deliver workshops and masterclasses for organisations that want more than a keynote – sessions that leave people with real clarity, sharper thinking, and something they can act on.

Topics include growth strategy, investment readiness, board dynamics, leadership under pressure, and value creation. Each session is built around the specific needs of the group, not lifted from a standard deck.

If you're running an accelerator, investor network, corporate innovation programme, or leadership community and want someone who combines lived founder experience with genuine strategic depth – let's talk about what would work for your audience.

Start with a conversation.

Most people have a sense of what they need – they just want to check it's a fit before committing. I'm happy to have that conversation without any pressure on either side.
